========[ Invite a Friend - http://www.ganoksin.com/invite.htm ]======== Hi, I'm Jerry Scavezze, a goldsmith known nationally for anticlastic raising. I have been doing the process for 17 years and have studied with both Heikki Seppa and Michael Good. My website is www.scavezzegoldsmith.com if you would like to look at my work. I would like to present my new jewelry and metals school: The Colorado School of Jewelry and Metal Arts. Classes will be held in my studio, Jerry Scavezze-Goldsmith, in Salida, CO. Salida is located 3 hours southwest of Denver, at 7,000 feet high in the Colorado Mountains. A great place for a weekend getaway or short vacation. The first two classes are not for beginners. Students should have the basics of silversmithing down. Sorry for the short notice, yes its only 3 weeks away. Classes are; Jerry Scavezze, Anticlastic Raising, April 29-30. Class size is limited to 10 students. Bring earplugs, and your favorite crosspeen hammers. There will be some slides, some talk on process and technique, but mostly banging on metal with hammers. Its going to be fun. Email for details and things to bring. Cost is $200.00 Materials fee $50.00 Prerequisite: Basic Metalsmithing. Harold O'Connor, Gold Granulation, May 6-7. Harold O'connor has written numerous books on jewelry, tools, tricks, etc. You probably have one of his books. He does fabulous work. Harold has been teaching world wide at least 20 years. We feel lucky to call him a friend and have him teach for us. Class size is limited to 10 students. Participants will learn to alloy the metals for granulation, make granules, prepare solution to apply granules, firing, finishing, etc. You can work with either gold or silver. A very full 2 days. Email for details and materials list. Cost is $250.00 Prerequisite: At least two years of metalsmithing. Michael Boyd, June 9, 10, 11, A three day workshop by an award winning jeweler. Michael is a leader in lapidary innovations for jewelry. This will be a introductory class. Email us for details of course description and materials needed. Cost is $300.00 Future workshop to whet your appetite. Jacob Snow from Maine. Jacob is one of the best stone setters and gold carvers I know. He will be teaching layout, piercing and gold carving sometime in the fall. Google any of these talented artists to see samples of their work.
