A couple months ago I posted a question about balling silver on both
ends. For example: ball, stone, metal, ball. Thank you for all the
help with that! But now I'd like to try the same thing again, only
using 14ky and opaque rubies, and a small butane torch. Has anyone
tried this? Am I just wasting my time doing this? I know that I don't
need to heat the whole piece like with silver, but I am concerned
about stones breaking/cracking. I have a propane torch, but the tip
is not small enough. The tip on the butane torch is small enough, but
    will it get hot enough?

Thanks again!
