Hi All:

I will be attending the OPLC Hob Nob at Tucson for sure. And, that is
only nine days from now....I can hardly wait.

I have had several requests from people wondering if I planned to
attend, and if I would have some of my Faceting History: Cutting
Diamonds & Colored Stones books with me at that time. You can be sure
that I will have plenty of books with me. If you will be attending
the Hob Nob, you can catch me there if you are interested in seeing
one of the books. I will be happy to sign your copy if you wish, and
you can save the shipping and handling costs by talking to me there.

Dianne's post that she and her husband will be displaying a
collection of antique gemological instruments at the main Tucson show
is of great interest to me. Many of you know my thoughts about there
being a special faceters museum some day. Since I am a G.G., the
identification instruments of years past are interesting to me. I
would like to see how the earlier gemologists arrived at their
determinations. By Main Show, does that mean the Convention Center
show after the AGTA show? There are lots of main shows, when you get
to looking. It depends on each persons personal preferences I guess.
I will not be in Tucson for the whole two weeks, so I had to make a
choice. This year it means I will be in town for the first week of
the shows, not the last week. Heck, wish I were rich. Then I would
be there for everything. This year I will be at the Orchid dinner,
the OPLC Hob Nob, and attend the four hour GIA course on determining
quality of that fourth C....CUT. Other than that, I will be seeing
as many of the shows that my feet will carry me to.
