Hi Everyone:

    There has been a lot of talk in the last few days about the Rosen
    Show and similar wholesale shows. This has sparked a question for me. 

    If all goes well (and I'm pretty sure it will) I will be doing my
    first large retail show in July and my second in September of this
    year. I think I have all my ducks in a row as far as promo, tent,
    display, case, etc. My question is on the volume needed for a large
    show. I have a product that sells very well at 95.00 and one that
    sells very well at 65.00. I have other products at higher price
    points (one of a kind necklaces) and others at lower (earrings) but
    they don't sell as well. I am planning to produce 50 pieces at 95.00
    and 50 at 65.00. About 20 necklaces to fill in and however many
    earrings. Can anyone give any kind of input on this type of plan? The
    last thing I want is to embarrass the promoter by selling out (I have
    a huge ego don't I?). Obviously, at this point in my career, I have
    to make a large volume because my prices are low. In the future, I
    want to work with more precious materials and higher price points.
    BTW, when the 95.00 item had a price tag of 65.00, I sold about 90 of
    them thru word of mouth in the year, so I have recently raised the
    price to 95.00. 

    Any (and I do mean any) input would be appreciated.

    p.s. Is there anyone who deal well with the stress of not knowing if
    you will be accepted to the show until March? I'm not dealing with
    the unknown very well.
