    If you are a feceter as well as an Orchid member and visiting Tucson
    during the Gem Show. The following message will give you the
    opportunity to meet and exchange information with some of the finest
    faceters known. 

    Last year this HobNob was concurrent with the Orchid Dinner and I
    missed it. this year it is the next evening and for me, very doable.

          Some of the large tent's are going up already and the Town is
          getting a buss with the preparations for the big show. 

          To all would be Visitors to the Tucson gem show that are in
          town around the 4th of February and would like to join us there
          Here are some of the details: The reason I mention the date is
          that the show runs for 18 days it starts on the 27th of January
          thru February 12. It all depends what you interests are. Most
          interesting time for factors is around the 3 - 10 the of
          February, Reminder: Faceters HOB NOB February 4, 2006 6:00
          P.M.Old Pueblo Lapidary Club If you want to sell items a
          donation of 50 dollars to the club is required for a table,
          there are two vendors signed up so far. We will have a most
          beautiful stone contest for Natural and synthetic to enter is
          free so bring one of each, the only requirement is that you
          have cut the stone yourself and it is not mounted in a setting.
          Judging will be done by all the participants of the Hob Nob. So
          do not worry about perfect meet points and cat or horse hair
          scratches, The stones are display and are behind glass at least
          30 inches away. Winners of both categories will receive a
          bragging trophy of recognition. 

          We charge 3.50 to eat pizza, drinks and desert if you want to
          eat with us, it is not required. come and see the MONSTER
          faceting machine being put together by Art Kavan, Billy Bob
          Riley and Tom Miller, you won't believe this. 

          This is the only place where faceters from all over come to
          meet and get acquainted. The TUCSON gem show is just about to
          start so buy your rough and stop by and visit with us. You can

          Today 76 degrees F, no snow that I can see not even in the
          13,000 feet mountains.
