Hello troy,

Your post peaked my interest, not because I know anything about oven
soldering but because I'm just a pyro at heart.

I have a book that is pretty useful It's called the BRAZING MANUAL
by the AWS (American Welding Society). After looking through it
though I've determined IT IS a little to nerdy for me :o]. However I
did a GOOGLE search using brazing instead of soldering and came up
with all sorts of good hits.

Also I have a partial quote that may be of some use to you from the
Handbook on Soldering and Other Joining Techniques from the World
Gold Council. It states: "It has been recommended that by N. Krohn
that the furnace temperature should initially be set at 38c (100f)
above the flow temperature of the solder. If fixture boards are
used, this should be increased to 66c (150f) on account of the
thermal mass of the boards. Similarly, a stating belt speed should
be about 25 cm (10 in) per minute or 20 cm (8 in) per minute for
    fixture boards."

Hopefully some help

Sincerely,
