    If the earrings are made of brass or some other solid metal like
    that, they can have a clip-on finding welded onto them with a fusion
    welder. Sometimes you can find a way to rivet something on, if you
    can't find a fusion welder. If they are soft, grey or whiteish metal
    underneath plating, this won't work. Epoxy is great stuff, and fits
    well with the quality of plated white metal, IMHO. You can't make a
    silk purse out of a sow's ear, and it is a waste of your valuable
    time to try to do so. So fit the remedy to the quality of the
    original work, and you'll be fine.
