[Jewelry making - Article 00248] - [Orchid] Pricing design drawing

    I need help pricing the sale of a jewelry drawing that will be used
    as graphic design. I am making pins that will be used as Women In
    Business awards given by Triangle Business Journal (anyone heard of
    them?). Now that they have seen the design, they also want to use it
    in their promotions for the whole award project, as a graphic piece
    and logo. They called to ask who has the copyright on it, me or them,
    and I told them that I do, until I sell it to them. They are
    interested, but neither of us knows what to ask/offer for such a
    deal. This is just for its use in print; I will retain copyright of
    the jewelry piece so that I will be the one to continue to get this
    yearly repeated jewelry commission of 25 pieces. 

    Does anyone have an idea what a graphic design for such use might be
    worth? They might  have to do further work on it, since my sketch is
    not really ready for publication, and I am not intending to try to
    work it up for them. I'll leave that to a graphic art pro, which they
    may have on staff at the magazine. What do you think? Where should I
    start in trying to price this deal? It seems like extra easy money to
    me, kind of an add-on sale, so I want to make them a good offer.
