    This book would need to be researched. You can start at
    http://www.copyright.cornell.edu/training/Hirtle_Public_Domain.htm. 

    It is not in the Copyright Office database but its copyright
    renewal, if there was one, (under "Cyclopeia" or "Cyclopedia")
    probably predates the computerized records so its omission there is
    not an answer. See footnote 7 of the link for further research.
