========[ Invite a Friend - http://www.ganoksin.com/invite.htm ]======== Hi all. A few years ago a friend suggested that, when annealing silver, quenching in denatured alcohol rather than water produces better results. I've been doing it ever since, but he didn't know why or how it worked. The quenching process is much slower than with water and leaves a pink sheen behind. Can anyone explain what's happening and whether there is, in fact, a real advantage? Thanks!
