HI Sarah and all,

    I'm more or less like you and consider myself as an "emerging"
    artist although I'm in my fifties. I'm working towards a degree in
    fine arts/jewelry design. I hesitated last year, asked the same
    question on the Orchid forum and finally went to SNAG and I can only
    say: DO IT! Bring the few pictures you have (sign up for a portfolio
    review). I got really good feedback. The workshops are great and
    very inspiring. The lectures were awesome (I'm more interested in
    art jewelry but there were also bench jewellers). Hope to see you
    there!
