[Source] Spooled Sterling Wire

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had run across a supplier that will supply
larger diameter sterling round wire on spools. I can easily find the
smaller gauges spooled, but not anything above 19ga.

Why might I need such a thing? Well, I use a couple of hundred ozt
of wire every month and need to have it wind off the coil easily at
high speed. With a typical coil, I have to use an improvised spool
onto which I slip the coil. The tough part is that the wraps around
the coil can be overlapped and cause a heck of a tangled mess as I’m
winding off. Spooled wire is by its nature nicely wound and makes it
much easier for me.

Thanks for any advice!

Regards,
Tom Colson

Stuller will spool most diameters of silver wire. The only exception
would be very large diameter wire (4 GA, etc…)

Hoover & Strong can spool 50 ozs at a time of sterling round wire,
up to 14 ga (0.064").

Give me call if I can help.

Try CGM. I’ve had good luck with them.

I have also had great luck with CGM. You have to call them - they
don’t always check email.
