    Midland, Texas (population around 96,000) has also fallen pray to
    Walmart and Sam's. It is a very small-business-unfriendly city
    government with a tax for everything you do. We also have Barnes &
    Noble and Cingular and Hastings and Lowe's Home Improvement and Home
    Depot and Office Depot and Staples. There are no small businesses
    here anymore at all! There is nothing to buy with any character.
    Everything is the same. It's a pity. One day these cancers will kill
    their hosts.
