    I believe it is the same alloy generally called "commercial bronze"
    which is really a the next shade of brass redder than regular red
    brass. It is 90% copper, 10% zinc. If you solder or anneal it is very
    prone to pink firescale. Use a boric acid and alcohol or a Prip's
    flux kind of firecoat, otherwise it will look just like copper after
    you pickle it. It is pretty easy to use if you are used to copper and
    brass.
