[Jewelry making - Article 00147] - [Orchid] Clear Lacquer for Brass?

    I have some simple brass pendants which I've worked to the perfect
    brushed. semi-matte finish. NOw the question is how do I keep this
    appearance instead of the downward spiral of tarnishing. I've read
    somewhere one can use Nikolas 2105 Spray Lacquer on brass. Does this
    create a really shiny finish because I am not looking for that. 

    I've also read something called JAX Tarnish Preventor. I am wonder
    what that does, how permanent it is and if its safe against the
    human skin.
