    METAL CORRUGATION, Patricia McAleer 

    Class begins Friday, May 6th. Three-day workshop meets Friday
    through Sunday, 9:30am to 4:30 pm. Tuition: $300. Members may take a
    $25 discount on one workshop per year. 

    Participants will learn to create an array of exciting surface
    textures, hand-formed elements, and sculptural forms unique to the
    corrugation process. An assortment of corrugation tools will be used
    to form different wave patterns in thin gauge metal. Much of the
    creative process is spontaneous, and satisfaction is immediate.
    Complex forms and textures emerge from corrugated metal manipulated
    using traditional and contemporary methods such as: repousse,
    fold-forming, and hydraulic die forming with new dies. Other topics
    will include techniques to connect and incorporating corrugated
    elements into other work. Basic jewelry skills required. Materials
    fee.

    Discover the exciting surface textures and dimensional forming
    techniques totally unique to the metal corrugation process.
    Participants will create an array of hand-fabricated elements and
    small sculptural forms while exploring a new facet of creativity
    adding to their jewelry making skill set. Topics covered will
    include the use of corrugation with contemporary and traditional
    jewelry making tools and techniques including essential tips, tricks
    and technical information.  Intermediate. 

    Trish McAleer has been working in corrugated metal processes for
    over 20 years. She is the author of "Metal Corrugation: Surface
    Embellishment and Element Formation for the Metalsmith", one of the
    definitive texts on the subject. Trish conducts workshops and shows
    her work nationally.
