Three-day workshop meets Friday through Sunday, 9:30am to 4:30 pm. Tuition: $300. Members may take a $25 discount on one workshop per year. Participants will learn to create an array of exciting surface textures, hand-formed elements, and sculptural forms unique to the corrugation process. An assortment of corrugation tools will be used to form different wave patterns in thin gauge metal. Much of the creative process is spontaneous, and satisfaction is immediate. Complex forms and textures emerge from corrugated metal manipulated using traditional and contemporary methods such as: repousse, fold-forming, and hydraulic die forming with new dies. Other topics will include techniques to connect and incorporating corrugated elements into other work. Basic jewelry skills required.
