Hi Sojourner,

    Chris Hentz is in Baton Rouge and he's a master at teaching
    intensive soldering workshops. I don't know how long it would take to
    get there from Missouri, or if he will be teaching during your time
    frame, but I would at least try emailing him: chentz AT attglobal.net 

    He's a wonderful, generous, funny guy and, who knows, he just might
    be open to doing a "tutorial."
