    I have Reynaud's phenomena too. it has only happened to me in the
    cold (I kind of ask for it, doing things like sea kayaking in New
    England). My fingers change a number of frightening colors and then
    the tips of them actually kind of die off and I lose sensitivity for
    a few months (it feels like there is dried glue on the ends of my
    fingers to me). I haven't had it happen with heat yet, but I worry
    while buffing things and try to be careful. I also have a nickel
    allergy (yup, discovered from round rashes by my jeans buttons), but
    I'd never heard of them being related.
