    I don't know how thick your bench top is, but if it's 1 1/2 - 2"
    thick, the mounting block for the Benchmate can be attached to the
    front edge of it. 

    The top on my bench is 1 1/2" thick & mounting the block flush with
    the top on the front edge of the bench top works well. I don't have
    any drawers in the center of  bench, just a pullout work tray.
