Hello Mark -

    I was just given a beautiful book titled "Women Silversmiths 1685 -
    1845". The authors are listed as Philippa Glanville and Jennifer
    Faulds Goldsborough.  It is copublished by Thames and Hudson and The
    National Museum of Women in the Arts, Wash D.C. in 1990.  Library of
    Congress Catalog Card Number is 89-51744. 

    There are several references to Hester Bateman and other family
    members with several beautiful photographs of her pieces.  I haven't
    even had a chance to read through the book yet, I've just received
    it - and have no idea where it was purchased.  If you have
    difficulty in finding a copy - let me know and I'll find out where
    the person who gave it to me had purchased it.  It is an amazing
    publication.
