Hi all.

    We'll be at the Tucson Orchid dinner again this year, how about you? 

    I enjoyed reading the archives about the "Orchid Tucson Trekkers"
    organized by Dave Arens but realized that the description didn't
    match my "first Orchid dinner". 

    I remember an earlier gathering, also planned by Dave Arens, which
    probably occurred the previous year. That was when I first met Dave
    and Jan Arens. There were perhaps a dozen of us at a steak type
    restaurant, in a strip mall, I believe. We had a great time,
    gathered at one long table. Actually, I think we were originally
    seated at a different table but as more arrived the restaurant moved
    us to the rear of the restaurant. I remember meeting Jurgen Maerz
    and perhaps Karen Hammerle, but unfortunately, cannot recall any of
    the other names now. 

    Perhaps Dave can remember more of that group?
