    It is still possible to find affordable rooms in Tucson during the
    gem show.  In the last week, at three different times over three
    days, I queried Orbitz and expedia for rooms. I found some the first
    time for $145/nite. A bit high, but I'm sharing with a girlfriend.
    Then, I tried again, no luck. The third time I found six or seven
    hotels with rooms at $100 per nite, in a more suitable location.
    It's possible, just get your reservations before you go. They seem
    to be loosening up a bit right now. 

    See you at the Orchid dinner, yea!!
