    Rio Grande sells pewter in bar form. It is easy to melt in a cast
    iron fry pan on the hot plate. Then you can make your own pellets. If
    the bars seem too big to work with, just cut them in two with the
    heat of your torch, catching the dripping metal in the pan. It's easy
    to work with. I make gravity-poured cast objects with it, small
    vessels, spoons, etc. Lots of fun!
