[Tidbits] Pearl of a Gastropod

Droplets fell from the Dragon which lived in the firmament … and
these droplets fell into open shells which resided under the sea …
and the moonbeams nourished these Dragon Droplets … and they grew
… and they became pearls.

In bivalve mollusks such as oysters … luster is formed by
transparent overlapping of Lamellae.

Gastropods (read snails) create a luster which–when fully
formed–show a beautiful pattern called Flame Structure which creates
a chatoyant effect. These pearls originate in the waters of Vietnam.

There is a relationship between the Pearl, the Dragon, and Vietnamese
culture. They represent the very genesis of Vietnam itself. Take a
dragon … metaphorically mate it with a pearl … you get a country
called Vietnam. What mated with what–I wonder–to create a country
like … oh … you pick it.

When these … the rarest of pearls … with their orange luster …
a perfect addendum to Holloween–donthca think … were first
brought to the Emperor of Vietnam … they surely created a stir
such as had never before been seen … for they confirmed–in their
physicality–the evidence that the Flaming Pearl of Legend created by
the Sky Dragon eons before truly existed.

How many of you, I wonder, has ever seen an orange pearl. Well … I
have one to show you. It’s slightly oval. It measures along its
longest axis 16.35 millimeters. And it’s worth … approximately …
$110,000.00. Imagine if you will … a strand of these to wear
casually around one’s neck when attending the Royal Ball one Saturday
evening just before going out to see a good flick.

For those of you who are new to this thing called Tidbits…may I
direct you to my home page at www.tyler-adam.com where you will
scroll down the left side menu till you get to the area that says
Tidbits Graphics … and then click on the link that says: Pearl …
in order to view the droplets of the Sky Dragon.

And there ya have it.
That’s it for this week folks.
Catch you all next week.
