Hi Charles,

    	I subscribe to both and have written for AJM . I love AJM's
    direction the last couple of years but they are still more focused
    on the manufacturing jeweler not the studio craftsman. As for Bench
    magazine it has some good "tricks of the trade but is focused on
    retail jewelry store bench work. 

    I want to hear about people trying new things, new techniques, stuff
    that is not ready for retail or manufacturing, experiments, old
    techniques revisited. I want to hear about how you use the wire
    welder, form folding stuff, Michael Sturlin's Crochet techniques (I
    read the article by Michael in the Orchid Archives, great stuff) I
    don't necessarily want a how-to or a step by step but tell me an
    overview of what you do.  I want to see how other craftsmen approach
    their work to create their own individual stuff how they solved a
    problem. I want to see their studio. I want to know how they
    approach the problems of marketing their work. 

I could go on.
