    One can plate over sawed edges and just get plated saw marks, so I
    wouldn't go by that to determine metal content.  A lot of plating is
    done over brass or copper, which will not attract a magnet.  What
    you would probably have to do is file a notch somewhere to get a
    look at what's underneath, but that doesn't help the box any.  I'd
    assume it's NOT solid silver.
