Hi Marion,

    Noticed on ganoskin that you worked with Felicia. I too, have
    studied and worked with Felicia. I have just found that by fusing my
    fine silver together rather than using IT solder I get a very clean
    area to work in especially if I need very clean seams around my
    cloisonnes. IT is great, but you need to know how to use it. I
    believe this whole conversation started because someone wanted to
    use enamel to weld the pieces of silver together and it didn't work. 

    Now, I use IT extensively when working with plique a jour, there is
    no other way to solder and solder I must. So, I am not putting it
    down at all, just pointing out that you have to be careful with
    solder when enamelling.
