    Beth...I believe you misinterpreted my post of August 23.  I quoted
    another Orchidian who wrote that casting was nothing more than
    reproduction work.... similar to prints...... and , in complete
    disagreement with the writer, I raised the question:What about
    one-of-a-kind castings, or limited-edition castings ?  

    To further clarify...Wax carving is as much of an art as is metal
    fabrication. It's just another medium. I've seen lousy castings and
    magnificent ones. Casting requires a great deal of skill.  A
    beautifully executed wax can be ruined by a poor casting job too. 

    But please don't attribute to me the quote I was trying to question!
