Hi,

    This is a great argument Bill.... I've experienced both sides of
    this problem in my 30 years or so of selling our stuff, and I've
    concluded that if you aren't selling at a show,then it's no-one
    else's fault but your own..... if the public don't want your
    creations / products / precious works of art, then the easy way out
    is to blame someone or something else. Analyse the problem and fix
    it... it's never out of your control... the people buying someone
    else's stuff (whatever it's quality) are doing so because they want
    to,and they are not buying your stuff for the same reasons. Don't
    complain that the public are ignorant of the merits of your
    products,either educate them, or check that your pieces really do
    have the merits you percieve in them. Envy is corrosive and
    negative, and will be reflected in your work. Analyse the problem and
    fix it... if you have time to complain about something, you're not
    working hard enough at making things right. I've seen so many sellers
    ignoring potential customers at their booths because they're having a
    comforting chat with their neighbour about how they're not getting
    enough customers!
