    Finding a sponsor is not the immediate issue; finding an
    Orchidian(s) to organize the event is the problem.  (Actually, Dan
    Ballard is cogitating on an interesting idea, but nothing is
    definite.  That's why I reposted.)  But thanks for the suggestion and
    the offer of help.
