Hello Del and all,

    Verrrry interrrresting dissertation.  Reminds me of what one of my
    collegues here said about why nearly every female enjoys shopping,
    and nearly every male detests it.  It's genetic - probably on the
    "X" chromosome. 

    In the world of our hunting and gathering ancestors 50,000 years ago
    or so, women did the gathering.  Those who were good at gathering,
    (able to compare diverse plants and objects, remember their
    benefits, and understand how to find them again) had the best chance
    of surviving and passing on those genes.  Their offspring were
    better cared for and more like to survive, yada, yada. 

    Survival of the best gatherers equals an innate interest in today's
    version of gathering - shopping!!  Makes sense to me. Judy in Kansas,
    where we'll likely be seeing triple digits tomorrow.  Hope the old
    window A/C can continue to work!!
