    Thanks to NPR and their little sound bytes of music between shows, I
    stumbled onto a modern reworking of some 11th century music written
    by Hildegard von Bingen. For some reason, I find that particular
    recording almost hypnotic. When I really want to turn on the
    creativity while designing a custom piece or practicing wax carving,
    I pop in 'Passages'. By the second piece on the CD I've usually
    "found my groove" and the world goes away (at least until the CD
    ends). I "come to" and find neat new creations on my bench, almost as
    if I channeled someone else's creativity. I've made some really good
    stuff seemingly effortlessly while under the influence of this music. 

    It fascinates me to read how different people out here get into
    their creative mindsets--keep the thread going!!
