    I have a student who has a commission for a jewelry piece that she
    needs a ruby for. I don't work much with stones let alone expensive
    one. She said that the one in Rio is smaller that the client wants
    and asked about Tie (sp) gems. I recall that there have been some
    posts saying that they are not a good company to buy from. I wouldn't
    know if the stone she might buy is what it is stated to be and
    neither would she. I'd welcome some suggestions for sources.
