    Well guys....I have watched this thread for nearly two weeks.  I
    just want you all to know that about 10 years ago while still living
    in MD, a neighbor asked me to cut a stone for him that came from his
    farm in southern VA. His land is an original land grant given by the
    King of England to a late relative and he had been trapsing around on
    it and discovered pieces of quartz....not chalcedony but broken
    pieces of quartz crystals.  They all had a beautiful light blue tint
    to them and some exhibited stars when cut.  I cut one that showed a
    great star. Unfortunately, I never had a chance to go down with him
    to collect some but was able to retain two or three small
    pieces....which for the time being are lost in my cludge of things. 
    If I come across them, will try a picture and show you all.
