    I ran the I-Shor refining system for more than a few years. I
    refined more than $10,000 worth of fine gold from scrap, which I
    then alloyed into casting grain with good success. 

    It can be a messy process if you are not careful, and there are a
    few pitfalls that I learned the hard way, as they were not included
    in instructions. You do end up with some material that will need to
    be sent to a refiner, in my experience, but overall the system does
    work.
