========[ Invite a Friend - http://www.ganoksin.com/invite.htm ]======== Linda, One consideration is that, with use over a period of time, the back of the stone can become dull due to an accumulation of dirt, soap film, etc. This stuff can seep in under the edge of a bezel. It the back is left open it can easily be cleaned periodically. It you close it, there is no effective way to clean it. This is, of course, only important with stones that are translucent or transparent.
