For many years I have used a pair of small, very tough scissors for
cutting my solder and thin metal sheet. Their 48mm blades are strong
and have kept their edge remarkably well.

I have a few favorite tools that should they be lost, I would not
know how to replace. These little scissors were one of them, Only
last week did I find what these aRe: electricians scissors! Very
inexpensive - under $13 US., and come in two varieties, One plain
blade and one with wire stripper notches. Found them at a hardware
    store in electrical dept.

The reason I didn't know where they came from is that most of my
studio was purchased from an estate. A great deal, but after many
years, there are still some things I have yet to identify! It keeps
    life interesting <grin>

Happy holidays to each of you.
Frif
