    When is good education NOT "worth it"? 

    A close friend of mine (a gem salesman) just landed a $100K/yr job.
    The GIA training and degrees were instrumental in him gaining that
    job. 

    There are many other reasons in favor of GIA training. You never
    know where it might lead you...
