    It's been a long time since I've been to Paris - (7-8 years) but
    last I was there I found a jewelry gallery called Gallerie Helen
    Poree in the 14th Arrondismont - 31 rue Daguerre open T-Sat from
    11-7:30 - my favorite places for jewelry and books is the Musee des
    Arts Decoratifs on Rue de Rivoli in the 1st Arrondismont - quite near
    the Louve - they have a great bookstore and have several floors of
    jewelry and related decorative arts - Lalique and such. 

    I also enjoyed going to the tool suppliers in the 3rd Arrondismont -
    not far from the Modern Art Museum - a couple I remember are Capucin
    d"or at 16 rue Montmorency and Pouget at 15 rue de Montmorency - 

    I found them and alot of other places by going to the Post Office
    where you can find the "yellow pages" of the phone book and look
    under Bijouterie - Materiels et Fournitures (roughly translated: 
    Jewelry - Materials and Tools) 

    By the way - this discussion occurred a couple of years ago and
    there might be more info in archives.  Might check there.
