    I, for one, do not like to look at dirt that is caked on. It could
    have certain unmentionable residues from their fingers. Dangerous,
    to say the least! 

    So how can we remove this grunge? Either you put the whole mounting
    into an ultra-sonic cleaner or attack each diamond on its own merit.
    I was taught many years ago to put the large diamond in the palm of
    my hand mixed with an abrasive, such as, cigarette ash and rub the
    stone with vigor. In a few short moments the diamond will sparkle
    clean!
