    Hi all, I use silver settings in my jewellery. When I buy them, the
    stone snaps into the setting very safely. After they have been
    soldered into the ring they are much softer and can allow the stone
    to slip out. Does anyone know if the settings can be hardened in
    some way to prevent the stones working loose? Richard
