Enamelist Society Conference Announcement

“On the Edge” - The Enamelist Society’s 9th Biennial Conference
August 21st through August 23rd at The Evergreen State College in
Olympia, WA.

The conference includes:

* 14 pre- and post-conference workshops at Evergreen
*  Enameling exhibitions at Evergreen and in Olympia
* Speakers, Panels, Break-out Sessions
* Vendors' Room
* Connections Room
* Bus tour of Olympia galleries and Winsor/Fireform, a state of the art
   enameling facility
* Auction and Raffle

“On the Edge” is the first Enamelist Society conference to be held
west of the Mississippi. The conference site is on the campus of one
of the most progressive colleges in the U.S. The conference key note
address will be give by Harold Balazs, who has been designated a
living treasure of Washington State and is an Enamelist Society
achievement award winner. Other speakers include Harold Nelson,
Bernard Jazzar, Maria Phillips, and Gretchen Goss. There will be
numerous concurrent break-out sessions on topics ranging from
grisaille to studio ventilation. This year’s conference will feature
an exhibition of Mexican enameling as well as a presentation by

REGISTRATION IS OPEN! EVERYONE IS WELCOME! NOTE: Late fees apply to
registrations postmarked after July1, 2003. Society members pay a
reduced fee for workshop and conference registration. Students pay a
special reduced student conference fee.
