    You might try a different needle. You can make your own from binding
    wire.  I like to use the .010" stainless steel wire. Here's how I make
    my needles. 

    1. Cut about 8 " of wire from the spool. 

    2. Put a small hook in a flex shaft, motor tool or drill. 

    3. Fold the wire in half. 

    4. Whle holding the ends together, put the wire over the hook in the
    flexshaft & twist the wire. 

    5. Remove from the hook. 

    If the loop needs to be larger, hold the twisted part close to the
    loop & unwind from the loop end a few turns. 

    You now have a thin, .020", very flexible needle that's quick to
    make & very inexpensive. If you want the twisting can be done by hand
    using a pin vise, pliers or your fingers.
