Greetings, Well other than being about the thickness of Coke bottles
& having a sever astigmatism they are about the same as mine. She
has complained that the items are a blur with or without the glasses
when using the Optivisor (I use mine for everything at the shop).
She is having a problem though & I want to keep her (dependable
trustworthy people who want to learn, not being an asset that I like
to give up on), but if she can't see she is not going to be able to
work a shift by herself. The Optiviser fits over her glasses, I have
#5, #7 & #10 plates & can order a couple of more from DRS next week
    to try that possibility.

We are a jewelry & watch repair kiosk in a mall, that has lots of
high end watches come in. This really requires using a Optivisor or
equivalent to work effectively (ever try to see the battery hold down
screw on a ladies Longines?-SMALL). I will see if the clip on set
will work, but I am pulling my hair out over the problem.

Yes, this is Olaf's Mundane World persona & it is Phlip from the SCA
EK Metalsmith's list we are talking about. I have 3 trainees who are
all SCAdian (one of my apprentices is a Laurel in Blacksmithing),
    guess which two weeks in August we all want for vacation? <;^}

We are looking to expand the locations up here in New England I am
having to train more people, so far all I have found have been
friends who are blacksmiths. I have a choice: I can either find
enough people to work 3-5 stores & be the relief/district
manager/fill in when no one else can person; sell the one location we
have up here & be unemployed while attending school; or close the
store when the lease runs out in 19 months, which is when I am
starting back to school at the Worcester Center for Crafts School for
Professional Crafts (Metals) again. I went one semester before my
previous co worker quit & I had to take a leave of absence from the
school. So if any of you know people who are looking for work in
Eastern MA or NH, send them my way.

Pax,
Jim Revells
