I have maybe 30-40 investment drums full of raw polish dust. > Anyone? find a more competent refiner. Virtually any decent firm of any real size and capability will take polishing dusts, and give you a proper return on it. Note that the returns are less than for higher grade metallic waste, like bench filings, etc, but it's still quite decent. My boss sends ours to Glines and Rhodes. Others I've dealt with include David H. Fell, and United precious metals. There's plenty more refiners besides those. Glines and Rhodes even supplies the shipping containers and arranges for shipment pickups. As to doing yourself, refining low grade wastes is no where near as easy as refining the high grade stuff, and even that isn't totally simple. I'd suggest just letting your fingers do the walking. Doing it yourself would likely cost you more, and yeild lower returns than sending it to a firm experienced in such waste. It sounds like you've got quite a bit, so the potential loss from doing it yourself might be quite significant...
