    Rio Grande  2003 Tools and Equipment catalog, page 78, item C are
    asbestos free sheets for lining flasks with high temperature
    casting. The description reads "Use asbestos free sheets in flasks
    that must cool at room temperature. The liners help you remove
    investment from flasks." 

    Just happened to notice them and thought of this post. Hope it
    helps. Usual disclaimers etc. etc.
