[Jewelry making - Article 00506] - [Orchid] Mexican metals project?

    I have agreed to do metals project for junior high and high school
    age girls at a Latina Conference, where many of the participants
    will be Latina and many will not. 

    The largest group of Hispanics in this area are Mexican-American, so
    that's why I'm thinking a Mexican project. 

    I want to educate the groups as the the high quality of hand work
    that comes out of Mexico. 

    Can anyone recommend books or a suggested project?  The only book I
    have is Spratling Silver.  For a project I was thinking maybe mirror
    frames where they use stamps on thin metal, then cover a wooden
    frame. 

    Appreciate your input.
