    Hi Janet, You might want to ask Alan Revere about those sources
    you're seeking, Re: your mechanical design. Since he's both
    designed, made and won awards on a few such rings, himself, and
    "intuitively" knows his way around the industry better than many
    I've spoken with, I'd think he'd be a good starting point. You can
    try him at Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts, in San Francisco, at
    (415) 391-4179 or email him at <alan AT revereacademy.com>. If that
    fails, you might give the MJSA a call, in Providence, RI. (I don't
    have their number, but it shouldn't be all that difficult to track
