>     What is a Proxxon drill?

    Proxxon is an established German tool manufacturing company that
    started selling it's products in the US about 2 years ago. They make
    a wide assortment of small high quality precision machines &
    accessories for those working in small scale parts. The tools are
    competitively priced. Here's a list of just some of the tools & a
    very brief description. (The 1st  desc. is of the drill press in the
    Orchid raffle.) 

    Drill Press: 115 VAC  3 speed  with  5 1/2" max throat depth &
    spindle to base clearance. The spindle comes with 6 colletts & can
    accept a standard 3/8 in Jacobs chuck. The 1.25" diameter quill is
    spring loaded in the up direction, travel is 1.25". There's an
    adjustable stop for drilling multiple holes to the same depth. The
    base is an 8.75" x 4.75" ribbed cast aluminum. An adjustable fence
    is part of the base. The column is 11" X .75"  hard chromed steel.
    The head assembly  is precsion cast aluminum. Accessories include a
    vise with 2" wide x .4" high jaws that open to 1.4 " &  a 3/8"chuck. 

    Motor tool: Similar to Dremel, but with full power over its full
    range, 5,000 to 20,000 rpm & very well balanced motor. Wt 16 oz. 

    Industrial quality motor tool : Max .001" runout, 5,000 - 20,000 rpm
    , 100 watt motor. Wt. 17.6 oz 

    Sanders: Disc (2"),  belt (13" x .4") & delta (2.5" x 2.5" x 2.5")
    sanders. 

    Pensander:  Sander for small  areas, with 8 changeable tips of
    different shapes. The 8,000 strokes per min are .1" long. The unit
    is driven by a 12 volt DC motor & is of a size & weight that can be
    easily & comfortably be hand held for long periods of time. 

    Micro motors: Smaller, 1.4" diameter, 8.1 oz  motor tools similar in
    performance to the motor tool but are 12 v DC & due to their size &
    weight can be used for long periods of time.. 

    Accessories for the all the motor tools include: A 90 deg adapter, a
    flexshaft ( 3 ball bearings), a drill stand, foot switch, a
    flexshaft mount that can be locked in any position & misc tools &
    bits 

    An XY table: A 7.9" x 2.75" table with X travel of 5.25" & Y travel
    of 1.8". It can be mounted on the drill press & Micromotor drill
    stand. 

    A Scroll Saw:  A variable speed (150 - 2,500spm) saw with a 6.3" x
    6.3" aluminum work surface & an 11.8" throat. It can cut wood
    (1.2"), plastic (.16") & nonferrous metals (.08"). Blade usage is
    improved by an adjustable head that makes new teeth available at the
    working area. Jewelers blades can be used in the saw. 

    2.5" Circular table saw:   A saw with a 6.3" x 6.3" aluminum work
    surface, adjustable fence  & adjustable miter. The saw can cut wood
    (.31"), plastic (.12") & nonferrous metals (.06"). Various blades,
    including a carbide & diamond blade are available. 

    Various lathes & milling machines are also available. Proxxon offers
    a wide of tools & accessories for use with their machines. The
