    Many years ago when I was first learning jewelry making, I took
    classes at the Smithsonian. I don't know if it's still true, but back
    then they had an extensive educational arm for resident associates in
    the DC area. The teachers were excellent and the facilities were
    good. Besides, being a resident associate had lots of other benefits,
    too. I strongly recommend it.
